School

Hey guys. Since the school year for Alberta is starting up again soon, posts here may be even fewer and farther between than usual, because we'll be working regular shifts. I don't have any updates on the sewer guys, really--Qom keeps wanting to look for them again, but I told him no. So, really, the only odd thing I can think of is that the new guy on the teaching faculty, Chuck Eldridge, is a dickbutt. But then, so are a few of the other teachers. Thus, in short: aside from crabby teachers who don't like groundskeepers, everything is cool.

What Qom Saw

So I've been sick for a little bit now here, probably because I got some nasty-ass sewer water in my mouth by falling in chasing that guy. I don't think there's anything worse in the world than sewer water in your mouth. Bleh.

Well, before I got out of there, I did see something.

That Serpentis guy wasn't alone. There were three of them down there.

I could have possibly had triple vision from the impact of the fall, but I'm tougher than I look. I swear that there were three guys in that tunnel.

We're getting worried again, and that's after the fact that we haven't seen any more guys near our houses. Actually, maybe that in itself is a reason to worry, too. Good news is, there's been no activity on the Wiki which we really need to update. I guess Danill got tired of trolling us or we scared him off. Good riddance.

In any case, I'm not personally worried too much. My family keeps the door locked at night, and I'm watching the streets.

Failure

Welp, mistakes have been made.

Last night, shortly after sending his post to A.S., Qom decided to track down another of those guys who he thinks is a Serpentis cultist. This time he was much more aggressive. He spooked the guy by yelling out to him as he was chasin' him, and the guy did jump down a sewer agin--but so did Qom.

He's just twisted his ankle, that's all, but still, he's proven 'imself to be a bloody fool. It took me and Garry both to fish 'im out of where he fell.

He's takin' the day off to nap.

Soon school'll be back up and we'll have to get to work. No more-o this tommyrot.

We Followed Them

It was so difficult to resist.

It happened when Garry, Derek, Marcel, and me were hanging out at my place, playing some games. A.S. wasn't feeling so good so he was back at home hanging out with Jacob. When the guy showed up at the edge of my front lawn, Marcel and Derek and I had had enough. We were going to intentionally notice him, wait for him to notice we noticed him, and then pursue him as soon as he inevitably ran away.

And so that was what we did.

He was a lithe little shit, but we didn't lose track of him. Derek kept joking to us (quietly of course) that there was no defense against the tracking skills of a gay guy. But I mean I've had some athletic training from when I was a kid, and Marcel is something of an army brat, so we actually did have some skills that would help us run this dude down. Still, I had sorta hoped Garry had come with us. I think he got nervous at the last second. Which is understandable, given what happened next.

We realized that the guy was actively trying to duck us. So, we decided to trick him into thinking we'd headed back. We turned around in plain sight, with Marcel keeping an eye on him, and when he stopped in his tracks we jumped behind a tree. And that was enough to fool him, I guess.

What happened next was a little odd, to say the least.

He went down into the sewers.

Needless to say we sorta lost our nerve at that point, and went back to the house.

So.

Despite the skepticism of everyone except me, I think we got the Order of Serpentis on our hands.

I sorta want A.S. to contact his dude over in Morris again, see if we can get any more intel on what's happening. Because this is really frickin' weird.

I'm going to be honest here.

Next time these guys show up? I'm gonna follow them again.

And if they go into the sewers one more time, I'm going to call my suspicions confirmed.

Question is, what do we do from there?

The Last Few Days

Have been weird.

So, it looks like Derek talked a little bit about the strange figures we've been seeing. We have in fact been seeing more of them, and we don't know what to make of it.

He and I have not been alone in seeing them. Qom, Marcel, and A.S. have all been seeing them too. We have considered asking other people in town if they've noticed them, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

It goes without saying that things seem a little strange around here. The thing about Alberta is that I know the face of everyone in town, and these figures, from what we see of them, appear to be from somewhere else. Which doesn't bode well.

Marcel wonders if maybe the people are federal officers, possibly out investigating a case in town. The rest of us aren't too sure.

Qom has this crazy idea to maybe follow one of the figures. They do seem to be near all of our houses, after all--he thinks we'd be within our rights.

I guess we'll see what happens.

Sick

No real updates to speak of.

No one in the Circle has seen any more guys in robes. No new posts have arisen from Danill. I've just been really sick. Just some headaches and bone-aches. Mostly in my wrists. I've been gaming a lot with the guys, though, and doing some writing-based side projects to this, so I'm probably just wearing myself out staring at screens and pressing buttons.
